Former ‘Qantas’ worker on Commonwealth charges of Threats While On Board Div. 3 Aircraft & Consume Alcohol Not Provided By Crew

Darwin man Changkuoth Lok has appeared before local court this afternoon on charges that don't read well for someone claiming to be a former Qantas worker and an experienced security guard.

With a scheduling error emerging, the Commonwealth prosecutor was reportedly unavailable to address the matter until tomorrow morning.

Lok said in Darwin local court that he wasn't able to attain representation through legal aid, and required further time to find legal representation.

The judge presiding over the matter requested he return tomorrow morning for the Commonwealth prosecutor's response to his request for an adjournment.

Lok referred to his shift timings at 7am tomorrow morning, though agreed he would still be able to make the court appearance.

His bail was extended to tomorrow.
