Livestream ‘savant’ or TikTok ‘calamity’? Influencer Spidey on way back up to Darwin

A 22-year-old TikTok influencer who travels around Australia on Greyhound buses after his passport was taken off him for "running amok" overseas, is on a livestream journey back to Darwin, from Alice Springs.

Living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and bravely sharing his travel misfortunes, including sleeping in public toilets for safety, "Spidey" was kicked out of Darwin Airport last year when security confronted him over his use of their amenities at night.

Today, the influencer was livestreaming in Alice Springs and interviewed a local homeless squatter once called "Bird Man" and now "Dog Whisperer", who came up and found him.

After an hour out the front of Woolworths collecting donations, the influencer was confronted by a woman identifying herself as a filmmaker, questioning what he was doing, shown in the 10-minute video above.

Watching ABC Breakfast first this morning I switched over to TikTok for a minute, and got caught up for two hours in this lad's livestream, which came across as genuine and authentic and difficult to put down, as he engaged with followers commenting, and updated others on his travel from Melbourne through to Adelaide, where he stayed with a guy who had face tattoo's and mental health concerns.

As his colourful livestream unfolded today, I decided to screen record Spidey's morning in Alice Springs, in order to introduce Darwin to the geek's version of popular hood influencer Spanian.

Livestreaming is so much tougher and rawer than publishing edited work like the rest of us tend to do.

So despite the temporary ban from his 'Kick' streaming account last week for breaching community standards on drug use; and a livestream arrest on the Gold Coast for loitering; this young man is proving his interview standards are quite unique, and The Mango Inquirer looks forward to seeing his national profile explode in coming years, as his maturity and experience blossoms beyond his social media account shutdowns.
