NT Police called at least 15 times on Palmerston dirty-bird, for alleged indecent acts, but still no resolution

A Palmerston mother has taken to the Bellamack Community Facebook page to vent about the indecent act of a man, through the fence, in full view of her young daughter.

The resident, located in units on Flynn Circuit, has been the subject of numerous complaints by neighbours, but remains at the residence without consequence or resolution.

She wrote online: "WARNING - indecent act infront of children.

"Beware Flynn Circuit, man pulled the curtain off the fence, fully naked, wanking through the fence!!!!

"Clear view of absolutely everything! I have taken photos, reposted to police.

"Absolutely went off my brain because my daughter was with me!!!"

"Description: Long brown hair, tall, looks to be under the influence off illicit substances.

Another resident wrote: "He did it to me and both neighbours too. We have all gone to police station and reported him when will they stop him no updates where the police are at with this formal statement done.

One local tagged newly-minted MLA Matthew Kerle in her comment: "This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated in our community.

"Several people have already reported him to the police and yet he is still about displaying this disgusting behaviour. Can you please help to get this sorted out."

Another commented: "This man is very much known to police. Neighbours have called police 15 times."

The photos and details of this particular incident were reported a month ago.

Another occurence allegedly happened in the past few days, with the complainant writing: "Man exposing himself at his fence for everyone to see.

"Please be careful with kids walking or cycling encourage them not to pass.

"Caught this morning at 8:15am - 09:00am when the car drove past, stood up against fence to be seen what he was doing.

"This is not the first time he has been seen. Been reported to police on numerous occasions.

"What is being done is the question?"

It's been suggested that mental health issues are a factor in the man's behaviour, but residents are being left to deal with the results, without details of a resolution or plan in place.

Member for Blain - Matthew Kearle commented an update on the situation: "Thanks for tagging me on this post, I've been in parliamentary sittings this week.

"I'll write to the Police Minister and ask her to look into this and see what's going on.

"I'll post back when I get a response. I can also follow up with the OIC of Palmerston police station and confirm that this is being investigated.

"I would encourage anyone who has witnessed this to report to the police, get a reference number and email it to our office at electorate.blain@nt.gov.au.

"The more police numbers I have the more evidence I have to escalate this with police."
