‘Turder on the dance floor’: Landmark nightclub floods with sewerage water.

Reports have reached The Mango Inquirer that a recent "closed for repairs" sign at Gateway Palmerston's Landmark Hotel involves significant sewerage recovery issues, after the nightclub floor was flooded with tainted water.

A source contacting Mango earlier this week reported the health department closed down the venue, but a spokesperson from NT Health today confirmed Landmark "was not directed to shut" and they "voluntarily closed the venue as soon as the concerns were identified".

"The owners of Landmark contacted NT Health in relation to infrastructure issues at their premises.

"Landmark’s representatives informed NT Health that they voluntarily closed the venue as soon as the concerns were identified.

"Environmental Health Officers from NT Health will continue to provide support and advice to the business as they rectify the infrastructure issues."

This publication tried confirming earlier in the week what had happened, but received no cooperation from the venue.

The Mango Inquirer thanks NT Health for responding to our inquiring.

Landmark posted to their Facebook page on Wednesday that they are "closed for repairs until further notice" and to "stay tuned for updates".

25 comments on the post appear to be invisible from reading, with commenting closed.

Landmark insiders report a decision was made to close the venue at 10am on Monday as "food prep" was a concern.

This publication does not imply actual pieces of poop were ever on the venue's dance floor, but rather uses our headline as an analogy for sometimes toxic or obnoxious behaviour.

An unconfirmed estimate will see the venue remain shut for two weeks.
