Tractor Terrorism! Coolalinga Caravan Park owner charges at guests during Bobcat bedlam

A young couple staying at the Coolalinga Caravan Park has reached out to The Mango Inquirer after a moment of madness yesterday, where local business owner Phil appeared to address a noise complaint with earthmoving equipment.

The caravan park guest said: “We’ve had an ongoing noise disturbance. It led to us placing a note on the door.

“After seeing the note Phil has come over banging on my caravan, causing it to dent.

“My partner and I have gone over to reception to tell his wife.

“She was only ever rude to us and told us we could move sites if we didn’t like the noise.

"Only being there 28 days, we didn’t want to uproot ourselves and all our belongings yet again, so we declined and went back to our caravan, where we then saw Phil attempting to move our car with a bobcat.

"My partner ran over and tried stopping him.

"Phil had then turned his attention to Judd and picked him up with the bob cat so he had been dangling in the air."

"I ran over and screamed for him to stop and he then directed the bobcat towards me, pushing us back into our own property.

"We rung police and they have treated this in such an unserious manner and quite rude with us also.

"We were looking into NT Ombudsman but thought this should go public as well.

The Mango Inquirer reached out to Coolainga Caravan park owner Phil, and had a good talk about his side of the story.

He told Mango: “I wear my heart on my sleeve.

“I also care for my brother with dementia [which may have contributed to the noise issues].

“I was using the bobcat to remove a tarpaulin put up to hide what was going on in there.

Phil said the police did attend the scene "for three hours".

The young couple said they were now evicted and had to leave on the 7th of July.

While on the phone, Phil canvassed us for free advertising on a range of soda flavours that he said ships this week.

Phil said he would put together a product package for us at The Mango Inquirer, but it hasn't arrived prior to publishing.

Flavours include Litchfield Lemonade and a Paddy Moriarty taste, with his signature product being Crocodile Cola.

It must be disclosed that we'll be getting some free samples dropped past the Mango Inquirer Ludmilla office some time this week, but this doesn't mean flavourable coverage.

An update on the situation if it becomes available.

We are The Mango Inquirer.
