Moments leading up to alleged road-rage stabbing on Sunday morning revealed in video share

A video filmed from another mobile phone on a Darwin street has allegedly revealed the moments before a man is stabbed by the occupant of a Nissan Nirvara on Mitchell street on Sunday morning.

With CCTV coverage prevalent up and down the Darwin party strip, the phone footage is the only publicly available replay of the moments before the incident.

While we've negotiated removal of the source voice commentating on what's happening in the video, we can reveal what was said in writing.

The female witness voiceover in the video states: "And then that car pulled-over and they like 'get the f*ck off the road or you gonna get smashed.

"Then the car pulled-over.

"Yeah they went up to each side the passenger and the driver side smacking into them and then the one on the passenger side stepped back and he was pouring out blood.

"This bloke there. He's the one that got stabbed."

A male is in custody after an arrest this week, and appeared in Darwin local court earlier this morning.

Representing the defendant, local lawyer Peter Maley spoke in court today about some "unusual" circumstances but didn't elaborate.

A bail hearing in very early July has been set.
