A man in distress has been pulled from the water with the assistance of NT emergency services near Stokes Hill wharf last Monday morning at 2am.
A couple of young men near the scene told The Mango Inquirer they tried to use a flotation device to get out to him, but he screamed: "Don't get in the f*king water."
The witness said: "Security called the police, but from the moment he first started screaming I would say it took them about 20-25 minutes."
Commentary by a number of young men near the scene suggests there could have been alcohol or other substances involved.
A first-time contributor inboxed the five minute video with rolling commentary through Facebook Messenger.
