Footage of a woman walking up the Stuart Highway during peak hour traffic at 5pm this afternoon has been inboxed to The Mango Inquirer.
Our reader shared: “This lady thought it would be fun to play chicken on the Stuart highway 3 lanes of traffic moving at 80kms an hour.
“The fella that was sitting in the middle of the road in the white Isuzu took her in his car and then they he drove off.
“I believe old mate that was chasing her was doing it to get her off the road, because it started almost Winnellie post office, and mate it up to the BP.”
“I believe she was walking in the middle of the road from the post office, all the way up to BP.
“I originally thought there had been a crash as the traffic came to a stop. Only to find this lady was trying to fight the cars, stopping traffic and being a pest.
“That’s when I got my camera out as I thought she was going to get hit by a car.”
The footage appears to show the woman being struck by the male acquaintance before taking to the bitumen for cover.
He later chases her again, around a stopped vehicle on the Stuart Highway.
